IT'S TIME TO THINK ABOUT TAPESTRIES IN INTERIOR DESIGN

What better decoration for your walls than antique tapestries, they bring warmth and atmosphere to any room. Over the centuries the  great houses of Europe have been decorated with large, highly decorative  figurative or pastoral tapestries bringing a feeling of luxury and grandeur to the rooms where they hang.
This months World of Interiors shows a flat in Paris decorated by the Spanish designer Isabel López-Quesada with a large Chinoiserie tapestry on the drawing room wall.

Here the renowned British decorator Robert Kime uses a beautiful tapestry when decorating Clarence House for the Prince of Wales

One of our favourite designers Alidad, loves tapestries and often uses them to great effect in his beautiful schemes.

This is the latest edition to our collection late 17th century Flemish, 'The continent of Africa'
