FRENCH ANTIQUES & HAM

Only in France can you have an antiques faire called, Foire à la brocante et aux jambons  or in English, roughly speaking, 'Fair with antiques and ham' On the outskirts of Paris this is a fun place to go and search for something that you can't resist. You can also buy some excellent ham. The fair, for charcuterie and pork was established in the middle ages. It wasn't until the end of the 19th century that the beginnings of the antiques  started and then became the more important part of the 10 day fair. Visit the stand of my friend France Lasserre with her dyed blue antique linens, a speciality, they sell out very quickly....

The fair runs from 15th - 24th March from 10am - 7pm
